Will my multiple re-entry permit be valid until my visa extension ends in May or until my visa itself expires in November?

I started studying at a university in November. My NON-ED visa is "valid" for a year but my latest extension ends in May.

If I get a multiple re-entry permit, will it be valid until May, when my extension is up, or November when my visa is up?

TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the validity of a multiple re-entry permit associated with their NON-ED visa, which has an extension until May and an original validity until November. Comments suggest that the permit will be valid until the current extension end date in May, emphasizing that after a visa is used, its issue date becomes irrelevant.

Unless your visa is multiple entry which I doubt, you no longer have a visa as it was used already. The date on the visa means nothing once it's used, then the only thing that matters is your entry stamp date or your extension date

so when I get a re-entry it will only be valid until my extensions last date?

And once I extend my extension for another 3 months in May, I would need to get a new re-renty permit if I want the multiple entry one. Is this correct?

both of the things you said are correct. If you get a re-entry permit it will only last until the end of the stamp you purchase it for. And if you want another one after your next extension then you'd have to purchase it then. I'd be very very careful about leaving the country when you're supposed to be studying though. You're likely to get pulled out of line on returning and possibly denied entry since you're supposed to be in class, not traveling.

Someone got denied entry a few weeks ago and they had a letter from their school explaining it was okay for them to leave and the immigration officers called the admin of the school and talked to them directly and still denied entry.

thank you!

I'm only traveling during public holidays, as that is the only free time I have. So, hopefully, that same thing won't happen to me at the airport.
