TLDR : Answer Summary
The visa amnesty is valid until July 31st, 2020, and provides coverage against overstaying for expats in Thailand. However, there are suggestions to apply for an extension or check with the immigration office before the deadline to clarify any specific requirements. Generally, expats on the NON-O or retirement visas are covered under the amnesty, but those enrolled in educational institutions are advised to procure necessary documents for visa extensions. It's recommended to confirm individual circumstances with local immigration authorities.

Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.

IF you are enrolled in a school (which you had to be to get the ED visa issued IN COUNTRY like that) You need to get the paperwork from them and GO to the immigration office to get your extension based on education like normal..

NOW if you can't get the documents from your school to go do an extension (like everyone else on ED visas seems to be able to do without a problem) when this 90 day entry stamp runs out you WILL go on amnesty until no longer than the 31st of July.
I'd say IF you're going to leave the country take the amnesty BUT if you're going to study, get the documents like most students can get and go get your extension like normal

You are covered by the amnesty.
But I would suggest going to immigration and asking if you should extend before the 25th June, or if you can extend when the amnesty ends on july 31st.
Every immigration office has different rules, they might say come back to extend in july or they might want you to extend before the 25th of june.
Best to go check, as they know better than us.

I'm due a visa run tomorrow, so I figure that after tomorrow I'm an illegal immigrant. Never thought I would get to say that ;-)
If you're due for a yearly extension, you should go and do it regardless of the amnitsy. You don't want to risk loosing the Non-O and having to re-apply for one.
You'd be exempted from overstay if you don't apply for extension before 31st July but you can also apply if you want to get it done. I do recommend for you to get it done by due date because all expats from the whole country will turn in to the immigration office after 31st July.
thank you! My problem is that I can't get a hold of the documents from my school so I wanted to know if I can use the amnesty and then leave thailand in July.
