You can show up on the 60 day visa exempt entry stamp, get the 800K baht in your account then apply FIRST for the 90 day Non-O visa for 2000baht at the immigration office, then wait until you have the funds seasoned 2 months and apply for the year extension for 1900baht
You could get the Non-O visa from the thai consulate in your country before you come here. THEN apply for the extension after the 800K baht has been in your account for 2 months
Getting the 90 day Non-O visa before you come here would save you two trips to immigrations (applying for the 90 day Non-O and then going back to get it in your passport 2 weeks later)
Yep the 800K baht has to be in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension..
(NOTE: in Jomtien immigrations the 800K baht has to be in your account for 2 months before you apply for the initial Non-O visa as well)
I would get the 90 day Non-O before you come here as then it's "out of the way" and you can concentrate on getting the 800K baht in the bank and letting it season the 2 months required so you can apply for the year extension.
I know this has been asked many times but I am uncertain….
I have Bank Account with more than baht 800.000 over the last 5 months.
I plan to be in Thailand again by end of Feb and I would like to use the visa exempt entry (subject to the answer to my question) for the 22 months extension.
Can I apply for the 12 months non-o for pensioners with the visa exempt entry or is the 90 day Non-O Visa required?
I just got my 90 days non immigrant visa in london. Single entry to visit my spouse. What document do i need to extend to one year spouse visa got told i have to have 400000 in thai bank. I am still working in london can i show my pay slip as a income. Instead deposit in thai bank. Any advice welcome
Just got my non-o for dependant and got granted the first three months. After this I can extend it for another year inside Thailand. I wanna do this in Chiang Mai and my question is if they wanna see the 400k thb in the bank account again or it's just needed to get the initial visa?
Hi guys, ref seasoning of funds if I have over 800k Thb in an account (been there a while) but it’s not clearly a foreign deposit, I then bring 800k Thb under a designated deposit (clearly shown)do I still have to wait for 3 months to apply for extension or will the other money count towards the seasoning aspect
Hi, i have an elite visa (expire nov 2020) and entry stamp (expire feb 2021). I'm currently married to a thai national (march 2020) with marriage cert issued in bang rak, bangkok.
I understand that i cannot change my visa to non o based on marriage inside thailand and dued to border closed, it is not easy to go outside and back to thailand. I have all the necessary documents to apply for non o (400k in bank, etc.).
What are my options to obtain the non o visa "inside thailand"? Can i apply for a 60 days family extension before my visa expire in nov or in feb 2021 as first step? Then apply for 1 year extension based on marriage afterward? Thanks for your advise.
I retired in Thailand (Phuket) in 2015 for a year and then left to work overseas for four years. I’m currently on my husbands visa as a dependent (non Imm O) in Bangkok. I never touched the 800k over the last five years and it’s still in an SCB account.
I’m looking to apply for a long stay visa again based on being over 50. Do I need to prove this money came from overseas in 2015 or will they look at the old ‘retirement’ file AND all the bank books, and figure it out? Will retire in Phuket again. TIA
