Thank you so much. I live behind the bank and just went back. As usual 4 people had to get involved and 3 of them were clueless and this is their headquarters so you would think they would know better. I had requested letter up front but they did not understand. Had to pay an additional 100 b for a total of 300 b but now I have what I need.

I think I figured it out. There was a Thai document in envelope so I think this must be the letter even though it doesn’t look like one.

I have FX account in dollars at Bangkok Bank which allows me to transfer money to baht account when I need it or when exchange rates look good.

When I arrived a month ago there were 6 people waiting at jetway entrance to examine vaccine records before proceeding to Immigration

The airline can be more of a problem. I traveled from USA July 2 with TV and they insisted on seeing onward travel and entered all of the details into their computer. Luckily I had planned a short trip.

Yes. I traveled with TR on SWISS and their agent seemed very competent. From my Swiss ticket they knew I was not returning till February

thanks. I have used O-A visas with multiple reentry permits since 2006 but the new required insurance prompted my question.
