How long does it typically take for a Certificate of Entry (COE) to be approved for Thailand?

Our situation is quite different. We are US citizens in Malaysia. We registered online last night just after midnight. At 9:20 this morning we received our pre approval. At 12:45 afternoon we submitted the rest of the documents required. At 15:00 we received our approved COE. The Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur is awesome.

- I don't understand what the right tickets means. We will of course have tickets out of the country. The only issue is the date, and 45 days should be acceptable.
