Not trying to be negative. But I have finally realized that although Thailand is in my heart, it just ain't worth it. Instead, I have finally come to my senses and will go to Columbia for 2 months to wait out Thai lockdowns....then I'll come.
ATTN: PHUKET LOVERS! I LEFT OUT THIS DETAIL IN MY ORIGINAL POST: My biggest concern is completing my ASQ in BKK, but then not be allowed to enter Phuket. Which is a problem because to me Thailand = Phuket. I'm not a Bangkok dude at all.
I tried very hard to make my move in Jan. '19, but when I realized that Columbia requires a PCR test with no quarantine & no complicated visa. What really pushed me over was that Columbia is alive: there is still lots of nightlife and lots of people on beaches.
So, if you have a girlfriend or a business then go to Thailand. For the rest of us, I think its too early &, like I said, not worth it.
I sincerely thank the admins of this excellent group along with people who gave me advice that I need to get my insurance, book my ASQ, etc.
See y'all in early April & remember: NYC has proven Lockdowns don't work.
