fyi Here in Pai I asked about changing from a non-O retirement extension to a marriage extension as I just married my partner last month . They couldn’t have been nicer about it . Wouldn’t have to leave the country as well . I would need a witness and of course they do come out to the residence once a year per normal . I was just enquiring for possibly next time but just renewed my retirement extension 2 days ago . Flawless

highly recommend as well They helped renew my 10 year USA passport simplified . They do not help with Australian renewals however

Yes you will . When you get back to Thailand , go to your IO and they will transfer the extension of stay to your new passport and Re-entry stamp if it is multiple and is still valid . You have to send your old passport back when applying . I renewed mine in Thailand and took 5 weeks , so if your not traveling back for a bit you can do it here thorough Bangkok

I can advise but it may go against comment standards but we used a legitimate company in Chiang Mai to help with opening the bank accounts . Now 2 years later and 2 extensions later , all good

has given I got my mother a non -O after she came into the country at age 90 on a tourist visa for retirement I know there’s the banking issues but there are ways
