To be honest, I am quite confused about what to do and when!

So just to be clear - I can go to immigration about 10 days before I leave, pay them 1,900 baht and get a 7 day extension which means that I do not have to return to immigration and I just leave the country on 4th of June OR I can simply go in on the morning of June 4th and cancel the visa then?
