TLDR : Answer Summary
For transferring visa stamps to a new passport in Chiang Mai, you should go to the Airport Immigration Branch, which is the main office offering comprehensive services. It is advised to fill out the 'Transfer Stamp to new passport form' available outside the office before approaching Counter 3 inside, thus avoiding the queue outside.

Airport Immigration Branch … Pick up a “Transfer Stamp to new passport form” outside and fill it up first then go to Counter 3 inside (no need to queue in the tent outside)

Hey Jeff, do you know much about canceling visas before you travel and how to time it well?

I have but everyone gave different answers and some people disagreed with each other so I ended up not getting a clear understanding! I might have to ask down at immigration Monday monring. Thanks

The office by the airport is the main office and can provide all services. The mall office is a satellite and offers less services and I'm not sure about visa transfer.

Got it. I think that airport one is the one to go to. Thanks.
