Which Thai Embassy is the best for applying for an ED visa?

We are soon going to apply for our sons ED visa.

Question is which Embassy is best?

KL Thai embassy is releasing appointments online 14 days in advance. They can be very slow, inconsistent and it feels like a gamble - ED visa application have an expiry date!

Hanoi Thai Embassy at the moment advises to submit application at least 2 weeks before traveling back to Thailand...which means we would be in Hanoi for two weeks and our son out of school.

Does anyone experientially know of a better option as far as Thai Embassies go?

yes we are considering doing it this way as trying to coordinate an ED visa application with expiry date and very slow/unclear online booking systems is stressful. How are they down at Cambodia...are they pretty easy to get tourist visas etc? or are they heavily burnt out and cranky?

- understood. Our little girl also left and went back to cambodia to visit relatives but coming back on a tourist visa which the school have said can be coverted to ED visa.
