# Does anyone have any idea how long KL Thai Embassy takes to process a child's ED with parent applying for Non-O / dependent visa?

# The embassy is not answering the question via email which makes it difficult to know when to book our flights back to Thailand.

# Any insights would be much appreciated right about now - Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a child's Education Visa (ED) at the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, when applying alongside a parent’s Non-O dependent visa, can vary significantly, ranging from 2 working days to up to a month. Factors affecting the timeline include the specific circumstances of the application and the nationality of the passports involved. It's crucial to ensure that all required documents are prepared to avoid delays.

Hi Ron, the school made out the application for our son's ED visa to KL which essentially locks you into that Embassy. Do you know predicted wait times for processing an ED by itself without dependent visa at KL?

what I'm telling you is based on people applying for an ED visa to attend a language school.

I don't know of anyone who has applied there for a child.

Most people do that in Thailand.

Good luck anyway

sorry no I don't.

What I can tell you though is that the majority of schools absolutely tell you to avoid KL for ED visas.

KL has always been a problem embassy for ED and Non O visas.

I really cannot understand why you're applying for these visas in KL? It can take anywhere between 2 working days up to a month, depending on circumstances and pass ports.

Even so, you best have all they are asking for
