Hi everyone, I’m an Australian citizen and trying to find out if there’s a way to apply for 60 day Thailand tourist visa online (ideally the whole process including being granted the visa is online)? I’m in Vietnam at the moment and planning to return to Thailand in a few weeks. Going around in circles with my research, reading lots of conflicting info 😅 any guidance will be much appreciated, thanks 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an Australian citizen currently in Vietnam, is seeking clarity on whether they can apply online for a 60-day Thailand tourist visa. Responses indicate that the application must be made through a Thai consulate in person, as the eVisa system is not available for applicants in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam. Specific consulates in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City can be approached for application details, including potential requirements like a six-month bank statement.
You apply through the Thai consulate of the country you are physically in. You can very easily go to the Thai evisa website and put in Vietnam and it will tell you that you cannot use the evisa online system, and that's because no country in SE Asia uses the system. Neither does Australia. If you want a visa you'll need to go to a Thai consulate in person and submit an application.
