that makes no sense. So they’re just gonna shut the border down for all tourist because of some bad apples?? obviously the people were trying to follow the rules, but unfortunately, it seems like they keep changing.
Stephen Bretherton provided they don’t change the rules on you after you do that! It just seems that Bangkok bank wants to weed out all of the foreigners. There may be nothing that you can do to make them happy. It wouldn’t hurt to reach out to an agent and get prices and see how easy it may be to let them do it. I would try Thai visa service through this site or if you’re in Pattaya, One Stop Visa. You’re far enough along through the process that I don’t think either would charge that much. Good luck with it.
MagicalJackfruit9772 it kind of sounds to me they were a major culprit in, and a big reason for the rule change a while back because of the people that were scamming the system. Now they’re over, compensating it and making it extremely difficult for people to open bank account accounts. Not sure if they got some huge fines or what, but it does seem like they want nothing to do with foreigners now.
Stephen Howell when you say just about everybody , could you give me an example of what would be one that would apply? Looking at the choices it doesn’t seem like none would apply to me. But I’m definitely open to suggestions. Thanks.
But if people overstay 10+ years in the United States, commit crimes, and don’t pay taxes, there are idiots out there protesting that they’re being treated unfairly. I just don’t get it.
Zack Stewart out of curiosity what is the major difference between this and doing an exemption arrival and then leaving for a few months and then return returning on another exemption? It seems to be the same thing to me.
Ruud van den Heuvel he was following the law. They just choose to selectively enforce it based on whatever mood they’re in it seems like. If they would make it uniform across the board, it would be much easier to follow.
Miyamoto Musashi if you think it is normal, how they change the laws and selectively enforce them then no you don’t know what you’re talking about. Tourists that have to go through it would know it a lot more than you do. They have actually made coming to Thailand less appealing than it used to be.
