I am not sure if it takes longer for a new member application, but, I just did an extension, from a 5 year TE visa to 15 year extension, and from when I submitted the application until I got the new visa sticker affixed in my passport was about 2.5 months

Jan Metzler It's not just a Thailand thing. More firm beds are quite commonplace in Southeast Asia. You'll get used to it

Julian Lewis if you bought the five year one, yes. But you still need to do 90 day reporting and either leave and come back or pay for an extension every 365 days from your most recent entry

Julian Lewis I read what you wrote it isn’t the most clear. And yeah ever 365 days from most recent entry stamp must either leave and come back or pay and go to immigration for extension. You forgot to make note of your date from what I can tell

Julian Lewis what was the mistake? You’re not very clear about it. Everyone knows with TE have to do 90 day reporting and leave (or pay to extend) once a year from your last entry to Thailand, and each re-entry resets that clock
