Can I travel to Singapore and return on a non-O Tourist visa without voiding my extension eligibility?

I'm in Phuket now. Been in Thailand sunce early Aug on a 90 day non O Tourist visa that I was intending to get a 30 day extension. If I hop down to Singapore for a week and come back (can I buy a re-entry permit?), is my Visa voided or would I still have 1+ months left and still eligible for extension.

I know it's pretty much the same as just getting an exemption on the return, but was just wondering about the status of the visa. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the status of their 90-day non-O tourist visa after traveling to Singapore and back. They are unsure if their visa will be voided or if they will still have time left for an extension upon return.

We need to figure out what you are actually talking about first.

There is no such thing as a 90 day non-O tourist visa.

There is a 90 day non-O visa, based on retirement or being married to a Thai.

There is a 60 day tourist visa that can be extended by 30 days at immigration.

Which one do you actually have now?

Ah, thank you for the info. And in the future, until Iโ€™m decided on actually retiring here or not, I should just do the exemption and extension?

@Eric *****
then you do not have a tourist visa. You have a 90 day non-visa based on retirement.

You cannot get a 30 day extension. The only extension you can get from this visa is the 1-year retirement extension by showing 800,000 baht in your Thai bank account and it must be there for 2 months already by the time you apply for the extension.

If you do not plan on applying for the 1-year extension or cannot apply for it, then you have 2 options:

1) Your current entry stamp should end sometime in November if you entered in August. When you leave you can apply for a re-entry permit and when you return you will receive the same permission to stay as when you left which will end the same date in November as before.

2) leave without a re-entry permit, thereby forfeiting your visa and your ability to apply for a retirement extension. Then when you return you'll be stamped in for 60 days visa exempt, which is eligible for one 30-day extension.
