that's correct. The system is locked until a decision is made in Bangkok.

The system is then 'unlocked' so as a visa can be issued or more documents needed.

until your husband gets his extension in Thailand, if you're under 50yrs old, you're not going to get a Non O visa anywhere.

Once he has his extension, you can then apply outside of Thailand for your Non O, enter Thailand go to immigration and apply to piggy back on his extension.

France is more mostly Evisa application only except for Algerian, Monoco and some European passport holders with french residency.

the UK embassy has nothing to do with passports.

They only issue emergency travel documents.

There is no such thing as a UK emergency passport.

You can get a travel document allowing you to leave the country. You cannot come back to Thailand on it or get any visa stamps etc.

If you haven't got a new passport by midnight the 5th January and extended your visa or haven't left Thailand, you'll be on overstay

Your Original Passport

Original Proof of Address – Rental Contract or Yellow Tabian Baan and a signed photocopy

Signed copy of the photo page in your passport

Signed copy of the visa stamp in your passport

Signed copy of the TM6 (Departure) card in your passport (if you have one)

Filled in TM16 application form
