If you stay 2x the max days, expect to be questioned the 3rd time. Happened to me and many others.

You mean you put cash on it and then spend it via QR code? You may as well spend it cash? But i see, if you have a lot of cash. On the other hand you can't cash it back? Only spent it?

it's totally traceable. Everytime you go to an exchange office they ask for your passport. No passport - no exchange.

i already spent over 180 days in TH this year. How much THB can i max. transfer to my Thai account until I get taxed? And second, how do i get a tax number for the future? When I left Thailand last month, they surely can see I spent over 180 days there but they let me depart nonetheless. So who will check the people who stayed above 180 days in Thailand about their tax returns? Will anything happen once I return? Will i receive a tax number? From who? Immigration?

The visa is valid for 5 yrs from the moment you receive it. If you come to Thailand in 6 months, you'll only have 4,5 years left on the visa. There's nothing written afaik about when to enter however since some embassies say dont apply more than 3 months in advance i recommend you enter within 90 days if possible. I received my DTV 28 Oct and i will enter in mid January. I assume no issues.

How did you invoice your client if you have no company set up?

Anyway setting up an LLC for example only cost around 120 - 150 $, with an agent and takes about 3 days.

yes i was there 4 weeks ago. Walked in at 9am, visa confirmed same afternoon 4pm, pick up of the passport the following day. I suggest you do it asap. Theres plenty posts here in the group who did in in Taipei which gives you an idea what to bring. Dont rely whats written on their website, i suggest you over deliver.
