You get 2 land border crossings per calendar year (01 Jan - 31 DEC) if you have ons border crossing left you are good to go….you can always fly in as their no limit on the amount of Fly Ins…or you could buy a 60 day SETV for ฿1,900 which then you could do a land border crossing because visas don’t count against the 2 land border crossings per calendar yea (01 Jan - 31 Dec)
nothing is ever excessive…plus will immigration pickup the phone for you and give you answer 🤷🤷🤷🤷….someone with a connection will get answer whether it’s good, bad or other…
you might say it’s 5 years, but they might have annotated you in the system 6 months after you departed….nobody knows, because it’s a govt entity that doesn’t need to be efficient
the minimum time varies from Immigration office to immigration office...BKK you can extend the day you land as long as you are registered on TM-30, can get there before there closing hours M-F...other immigration offices won't let you extend until a certain number of days from the expiration date...you probably can't extend online due to it being a stamp in your passport and monetary transaction

if he purchases a visa in Cambodia let’s say a 60 day SETV for ฿1,900 at the Thai embassy/consulate he will be stamped in for 60 days which he can extend at his local immigration office for a cost of ฿1,900 for a duration of 30 days giving him 90 days in country…
With the visa he will not be charged one of his 2 land border crossings per calendar year (01 Jan - 31 Dec)
