Disagree,

I made a comment in response to a post about using a thai bank account to apply for DTV,

2 weeks later they start shutting down bank accounts held by dtv visa applicants.

I had nothing but abuse from other members of this group telling me how wrong I was, and some of the comments were just disgusting

So now, I will comment as annon to avoid backlash

yes, but you shouldn't.

Dtv is a tourist visa.

If you already have a thai bank account that shows you have either had a non immigrant visas before, or a work permit

Part of the dtv requirements is the money you make must come from outside of thailand.

Having a thai bank account for the application makes things blury and more difficult.

It's a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years

You can come and go daily

It just resets the 180 day stay each time you enter

You can't/ shouldn't have a thai bank account on dtv

Should be your home country bank account

Same as us.

I have workcation visa, applied for first.

Once recieved then apply for spouse and dependants.

Spouse had to have same amount in bank account as I did.

Kids are supported by a letter stating I am responsible foe their needs

Edit**

My kids are 12 and 7, being homeschooled. Both needed their own dtv dependant visa.
