Hi all, advice needed as there seems to be so many options.
We are a family of 4, I'm 40, wife is 36, 2 children (12 and 7)
I have a ltd company in uk where I am the only employee but can work anywhere with a wifi signal.
Kids are both home schooled, so education isn't an issue.
What visa would be best option.?
My 12 year old wants to do muay thai, so education visa worth it?
Dtv visa - will it cover my family?
I dont fancy wasting money on border runs every few months, as we plan on going koh samui.
Any advice would be massively appreciated.
We don't have the funds for the elite visa, so that's not an option.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on the best visa option for their family of four planning to relocate to Thailand. They are considering the DTV visa due to work flexibility from a UK company but are also exploring the education visa for their children's Muay Thai training. Users recommend the DTV visa as a suitable option allowing family dependents, but note challenges regarding certain legalities like banking. They suggest consulting immigration sources or agents for detailed guidance.
DTV is great, but remember, it is essentially an extended tourist visa so things like opening bank accounts, getting driver license, purchasing vehicle, etc., may be a bit of a challenge.
The DTV would tick every box and your family would get visas as your dependents. Educational visa is an option if you don’t have the funds in situ to show for a DTV but it’s more faff and an agent can do a work around for that for you anyway to still get the DTV.
If your Ltd company can be used then the DTV is ideal for you then your family apply for theirs as your dependents. Take a family holiday/weekend every 180 days to reset your entry stamps. Look on the London Thai Embassy website for their requirements.
My advice if you are thinking of long term living is not to choose an Island as Island life can be challening and limiting at the best of times and more often than not more expensive than the mainland, As for visa speak to a reputable agent or Thai Immigration for the correct advice.
