Do you need to request a visa exempt stamp if you hold a DTV but want to enter Thailand for tourism?

What, if you have a DTV but just want to enter Thailand for a two week vacation on this occasion, NOT for a Muay Thai course or a cooking class, but just to relax. Do you have to ask for the visa exempt stamp or enter on DTV regardless?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) and wish to visit Thailand for a short vacation, you must enter using your DTV. It's not possible to request a visa exemption while holding a valid DTV. The DTV allows for multiple entries and resets your stay upon each entry, making it suitable for leisure travel.

You can't be visa exempt and visa holder at the same time. As long as your DTV is valid, you'll always enter using it, even if you don't mention or say anything.

So even if you have soft power and you're not studying anything you can still use it at leisure? Doesn't make that much sense...

If you've already got the DTV you just enter. I changed from retirement visa to DTV and I just come and go at my leisure

It's a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years

You can come and go daily

It just resets the 180 day stay each time you enter
