Hello everyone,

I have been facing serious legal challenges that have left me feeling trapped and in distress.

Recently, I was involved in a legal matter that resulted in a harsh penalty 1 years prison instead of similar case is just a fine, which I believe was unjust due to multiple violations of my rights throughout the process. I have experienced threats, physical harm, and coercion that have significantly affected my well-being and much more, give me my sentence only after tell me to say no for a lawyer, i said 2 word during the court hearing who take less than 2 min. This is my first offense, and I have a clean criminal record, i paid the fees damages but one of them was know by the judge.

Currently, I have to make appealing the decision, but I am deeply concerned about the possibility of being stuck in Thailand for 6 months to a year without the ability to work or support myself here. This situation is not only financially burdensome but also mentally challenging, as I fear for my safety and psychological well-being. They also dont allowed to me to leave the country i cannot leave there.

I am looking for any advice on how to navigate this situation, particularly:

• Recommendations for legal assistance or NGOs that can help with my case.

• Any contacts or resources within expatriate groups that may provide guidance.

• Suggestions for how to resolve these issues amicably before my appeal.

I appreciate any support or information you can provide. Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

I am wondering.

If you sell second hands parts.

Do you need a work permit for it ?

For example you have a motorbike and you modify the turn signal. And than you sell the orginal ones.

I know they will hunt you down or make a big deal about it. But just wondering about the law.😁

When a Thai woman gets divorced she must wait 310 days to remarry in Thai law . Does that mean you can not start a K1 visa for her to USA until the 310 days are up ? Or those the USA not care about the Thai waiting period ?

good day...a little unusual post, but I want others to know about our problem in Phuket and what you may encounter... Namely, me and my friend bought an apartment in the "Patog Sea View" project. primarily as an investment as the offer was 7% annual cashback plus use of 2+2 weeks per year as soon as you paid the full amount, which we did. when the corona and lockdown started, everything stopped, nothing was done for two years, BUT even later... for two years, the project did not start from a standstill, except that before the season they clear some bushes and build something like a driveway for the works, and the same story - we can't to work in the season, and when it ends then we can't work because it's the rainy season... as far as payment is concerned, it's obviously a fraud, there's no payment, it's extended from month to month and the responsibility is shifted... they sent almost hundreds of emails, they would respond to every 10 or 15 emails... and the latest situation is that the management of the project has now been taken over by a PR&T agency that no longer wants to talk about cash back (which they say does not apply, even though it is stated in the Contract) and offered options that are each worse than the above... imagine buying an apartment as an investment and now they offer you money for 5 years minus the 20% you paid?! Wait for own money and don't back you all...crazy...obviously they are not a clean business, even though they are still offering and selling this project and lying that they have started work...my colleague and I have already hired lawyers and found other people who bought units there, so we can sue them together and ask for money and compensation... we see that their and other projects do not start like the one on Paradise Beach... this write that others now what is going on...if there are any more deceived customers or people who think they can help us, please contact me by private message...

Does anyone have experience of adoptions in Thailand? We've raised a cousin since she was 6 and she's now 21. She wants to be our daughter legally. My (Thai) wife has adopted her but she can't take our name (only my wife's maiden name, which would be odd) because I've not officially adopted her. How can I adopt her so that we can all have the same name?

I’m looking at leasing or buying land in Ko Phangan with an existing bungalow, with the view to build 2 more and rent out.

Some questions :-

1) I understood I can lease and form a company but I have now read that Thai gov changed the law in October 2022 and I can own the land?

2) are there surveyors that can check the existing structure

3) any recommendations for an English speaking lawyer in Ko Phangan

4) any builder recommendations?

All other thoughts appreciated! I do property rental in the UK so I’m not a newbie but of course it’s very different here!

Thanks 🙏

I'm getting married to my thai fiance in the US and we want to register our marriage in Thailand before we return in December. Is it possible to do this? Is there a lawyer that can help?

I plan to apply for a marriage visa when we return to Thailand in December. We plan to buy a house together.

Thanks for any help.
