I don't think that's right mate depends on what airline you fly with, if you have a 60 day visa and you return flight is with the same airline for 90 days there could be some problems if you don't have a onward ticket

The airline is obligated to fly you back to where you come from if you are refused entry from Thailand at there expense

been to Vietnam a few times, but never Saigon,always small coastal places, iv 2 young daughters, if they say beach, it's the beach,

Last year we stayed in 5 different hotels in 7 days ,

Ba Na hills ,and DA Nang is beautiful.

like you say most probably not, but always a chance. €14 for onward ticket last time I done it, peace of mind.

If you coming for 3 months on a 60 day visa, get a cheap onward ticket, airline might stop you from boarding, if your return flight runs over the 60 day visa.
