I’m a British citizen living in Thailand and I’m planning to renew my UK passport from here.

I read this article from Pattaya Mail about the process, and it mentions that proof of address in Thailand must be from the Thai or UK government (like a Thai driving licence, pink residency card, or correspondence from a UK authority).

I don’t have a Thai driving licence or a pink ID card — only a TM30 from my landlord showing my registered address.

For anyone who has *recently* renewed their British passport from within Thailand, was the TM30 enough as proof of address, or did you have to get something else (like a letter from immigration, bank, or local council)?

Any tips or recent experience would really help. Thanks!

Have any of you had to renew your Jersey Passport whilst living here in Thailand, did you use VFS Global as they do for British Passports or did you have to go down another avenue with the Passport Office in Jersey directly. If I retire to Chiang Mai, what is the process for renewing my British Passport. I know I can do this online, but it's the process of then getting the new Passpport/returning the old one that I can't seem to find information on.
