I was in the bureau yesterday.

I asked about all land borders, and they said the change starts today.

that is a concern, so perhaps surprising that Thai immigration are stamping passports for 45 days before published there?

btw the hand written w45 on top means extendable for another 45 days at immigration. Just out with mine and an explanation from the border officer ๐Ÿ™‚

@Natalia *******
What!? So can get a 45 day extension on top and not the 30 weโ€™ve been told or have I misunderstood?
Natalia ********
@Nick ******
it depends on the top hand written thingy on the stamp: w30 - extension 30 days, w45 - extension 45 days, ww with signature - non extendable, leave the country within your expiry date. Been talking with several immigration officers lately :)))
Nick *******
@Natalia *******
would have thought there would be standard 30 or 45 extension. Ah well this is Thailand ๐Ÿ˜‹

@Natalia *******
great clarification thanks.
