Sawadeecup 🙏 I am currently on a 30 day tourist visa and was wondering if I will be able to extend this for another 30 days at Pai immigration? I originally came to Thailand from the UK on a 60 day tourist visa at the end of January and extended this for 30 days at Pai immigration to the maximum 90 days. I then left Thailand via boat to Laos and on re-entering Thailand from Laos have been given a new 30 day visa. Will I now be able to extend this for 30 days twice to reach 90 days again? Khopkhunkhap 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster has inquired if they can extend their current 30-day visa exempt entry for an additional 30 days at Pai immigration, after previously extending a 60-day tourist visa and entering Thailand again from Laos. Multiple comments clarify that under Thai immigration rules, only one extension is permitted per entry; thus, the OP can only extend their 30-day visa once. Any further stay would require leaving and re-entering Thailand to obtain a new visa exempt entry.

can’t see how they’re abusing the system, rather than using the system.

You don't have any visa, you've a free visa exempt stamp. This can be extended 1 time
Declan **********
Nope, only one extension per 30 day visa exemption.

Also สวัสดีครับ = sawadee khrab (pronouced as khrap) not sawadeecup. ครับ is used at the end of a sentence to be polite/ or to show acknowledge (when used by itself)

good point but where I am in Thailand it is pronounced KAP

Hopefully that last part doesn't sound passive aggressive. Just put it there to help improve your Thai.

ขอบคุณครับ (khobkhunkhrab) ค = kh ร = r ั = a บ = b but the บ is pronounced with more of a p sound when used with khrab (sounds more like crap than crab)

Read the question. The OP is asking if they can get two extensions off his 30 day entry and the answer to that is NO. Only one extension is permissible per entry.

You can try ! That's your freedom ! But it will NOT be granted... Only ONE extension is granted on a Visa EXEMPT stamp.

You can extend it only once, to 60.

You don't have a visa, you have a visa exempt.

You don't have a visa, you will be on a visa exempt entry. That can only be extended once each entry.

You can only get one extension per entry off a visa exempt 30 day entry. After that you’d need to bounce again to get a further 30 day exempt entry.
