Anonymous participant and if you are applying for the DTV visa, you cannot apply while you are in Thailand. Where are you now and which Thai Embassy or Consulate are you making an application for the DTV visa ?

Hopefully you are not being scammed by a so-called visa agency for the DTV visa. They do exist. Was the email confirming payment for the DTV visa fee of Thai baht?

it was that high in recent 2024....but all are now at US $16,000. BUT for applicants : it's Best to Read the Thai Embassy or Consulate website where you will be applying for their requirements.

Note that the Thai Embassy or Consulate in the USA requires US $16,000 to be shown in your personal bank account.

Look at the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you are living in the USA 🇺🇸..

Frankly I believe, getting the DTV visa is easier in the USA 🇺🇸.
