I have a Non O for marriage. It expires on October 1st but I’m stamped in until October 26th. I went to Changwattana last week to see if I could get an extension based on child. After being passed to several officers I was finally taken to a supervisor who said no. I cannot get an extension for child on my Non O for marriage. I’m getting divorced which is why i did not do extension for marriage.
After speaking yo a immigration officer friend of mine, she made a few phone calls. Apparently because my Non O visa sticker has my wife’s name hand written on it is the reason I cannot change reasons for staying.
you’ll need to be sure you have the parental rights paper. But then yes you’ll get one year and eligible for extension if you get the funds part sorted
I’m outside Thailand, left early March for work. I have a Non-Imm O based on marriage. No extension of stay. Safe to assume my time is just ticking away? I’ll need to reapply for new in November? No clock stops for one month or however long this lasts? I hear tales of woe about people stuck in Thailand. I want nothing more than to come home.
