TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, there is still a 24-hour tolerance for overstaying a visa in Thailand at the airport. If you leave within 24 hours after your visa's expiration date, the overstay fine (500 THB) may be waived, provided you get an overstay stamp upon departure. However, it's advisable to avoid overstaying to prevent complications.

I had overstayed by 24 hours before Covid. They asked why and I explained. They waived the fee and let me go with no issues.
Actually in my case I had gotten a new visa, Non Imm O, but when I came in they stamped me on my Non Imm B that was expiring. I had to exit on the B, went to Singapore and came back on the correct Non Imm O.
