What are the requirements and process for applying for a family visit extension on a Non-O visa in Thailand?

Could I get information on family visit extension. I have Non O Imm for support Thai person, my son. My 90 days runs out October 15th and I may not return to work before that. I came in through Phuket Sandbox but will be in BKK and Nakon Sawan when the Covid extension period expires. I assume I need to apply for Covid extension or Family extension where I came in, perhaps I’m wrong. 

What documents do I need to provide for family extension and does my son need to be with me?  I haven’t been able to see him due to local village superstition. Is it granted on initial visit or is there a consideration time. 

If I can apply for Covid extension outside of the immigration area I entered what documents do I need for that? Is it granted on initial visit or is there a consideration time?

GO to the immigration office where you are now before the 27th of Sept and apply for a 60 day covid extension (even if you lose the days from then until the 15th when your current stamp runs out, you'll still get most of the extension) and as a rule they usually ADD the 60 days to your current expiration date. all you can do is try for that extension because the other choice is leave the country 😕

thank you. I checked with Patong immigration where I filed my TM30 and I need to go to Phuket town for any extension. I’ll go in the morning as I don’t have my passport or supporting documents with me at the moment.

If applying for a 60 family extension based on your son, your son would need to be present when you apply.

his mother and grandmother won’t let him leave Isaan because they are afraid of Covid. I understand his safety is foremost but it’s aggravating. Even for me to visit him I need self isolate in their home for two weeks. 🙄
