ORIGINAL POSTER
Just bought a single re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi airport. Was expecting to pay 1900 for single re-entry but was only charged 1200. This was my first time so was a little surprised.

Took about 20 min total with one guy ahead of me. Painless process and easy to find the desk.

I appreciate all the help from this page and the admins

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of obtaining a single re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport, initially expecting to pay 1900 Baht but was charged only 1200 Baht. This sparked a discussion clarifying that the 1900 Baht fee is for extensions of stay, while a single re-entry permit costs 1000 Baht plus a 200 Baht service fee at the airport, bringing the total to 1200 Baht. Other users confirmed these prices and provided additional insights on the re-entry permit process.

ok, I think we've beat this one to death

thanx for the update, glad you got the re-entry permit

Just for everyone else THIS is where the re-entry permit counter is in Suvarnabhumi Airport in International Departure #2 after security screening but BEFORE passport control

how many re-entry permits have you gotten at Suvarnabhumi airport without a TM8 re-entry permit form, no passport sized photo and no copies of your required passport pages? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have only ever got them from my local immigration office, but i was under the impression they were the same price everywhere, unless the price has gone up.. Maybe it was extra because he needed photo's and other documents he didn't have.

nope you are correct a single re-entry permit is just 1000baht and a multiple re-entry is 3800baht at the immigration offices.

At both Bangkok Airports they charge 200 baht more and you don't need anything but your passport. So a single is 1200baht and a multi is 4000

You got the pricing confused. the 1900baht is the price for extensions of stays (no matter how long they are issued for)

Re-entry permits cost 1000 baht for a single re-entry and 3800baht for a multiple re-entry UNLESS you're at Suvarnabhumi where (if you don't have the form, the copies, a passport sized photo etc) they charge you a 200 baht "service fee" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜›

So a single re-entry would be 1200 baht there ๐Ÿ™‚

An extension of stay costs 1900B not a re-entry permit.
