Hi Steven, you will need to get your marriage certificate legalised in Thailand. It involves going to the embassy in Bangkok, getting it certified then getting translated. After that you will need to get it legalised by the MFA.
It’s since the non imm b MULTI visa has stopped being an option (except directors/shareholders etc) in Malaysia down here in the south. It’s too expensive (and incorrect) for teachers to keep ‘bouncing’ every 90 days. It seems that we understand there immigration laws better than they do.
thank you for that Robert. They (both) have been waiting for their work permits for the school to arrive but unfortunately their non b’s have expired whilst waiting and they’re planning to switch to a tourist visa while they are waiting 😕 an unfortunate situation but it’s always best to be in possession of the facts. Thanks again 🙏
Maria Fredriksson historically divers on Samui, Phangan and Tao were using the Non-Imm B MULTI visa from the Penang/Kota Bharu Consulates in neighbouring Malaysia (as they weren’t meeting the criteria for an extension to stay). These Visa are only available for director/company owners now and getting a new Non Imm B single every 90 days just isn’t practical.
