What are the requirements for a Thai non-immigrant B extension based on a work application?

A few questions related to one extension to stay based on working application. 1. Assuming everything else is in order, would you have to show evidence of 40k a month going into your bank for any period of time (eg 3 months) or would confirmation from your employer (work contract) be enough? 2. If you’ve ‘stretched out’ a non imm b multi the 90 days past the VISA expiry date shown on the actual non imm b visa itself, would this be an issue for immigration when considering you for an extension to stay based on working? Reasons being: proposed pay-rise (to meet the 40k) and a final non imm b exit stamp dated mid Feb.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the requirements for extending a non-immigrant B visa based on employment. Questions include whether evidence of a monthly income of 40k THB needs to be shown in bank statements or if an employer's confirmation is sufficient. Additionally, concerns are raised about the implications of overstaying a visa, particularly in the context of applying for an extension after the original visa expiry date.

If you bounce prior to the expiration date on your non imm b multi you get an extra 90 days. Mine was mid Nov, but I’m now stamped in to mid Feb (I bounced just before) I was just wondering if that would pose any issue when applying for an extension to stay. Or should it have been done prior to mid Nov.

@Robert ******
thank you 🙏

Does not have any influence, you got a new period of stay and as long as you apply for the last date of this stay it is no problem.

Darren, I have a one year B Visa multi entry, last year I was on a one year extension of stay (B visa extension). So I understand the process involving B Visas and Extensions... However, I do not understand what you wrote here " 2. If you’ve ‘stretched out’ a non imm b multi the 90 days past the VISA expiry date shown on the actual non imm b visa itself, would this be an issue for immigration when considering you for an extension to stay based on working? .... ???

Please explain.

You show Tax and SSO payments of the last three months of you and the 4 Thai staff.

As an employee you need to meet the requirements and that is a minimum income of 40.000 Thb a month if you're married to a Thai wife by proof of tax payments and SSO payments of the Thai staff and yourself for the last 3 months. For teachers there is no income requirement, for people not married to a Thai the salary and tax payments differs on country of origin

And tax records can be shown, but at a lower rate. I’m wondering if 40k has to be shown for a certain amount of time.

Hi Robert, it’s for being employed, not being an employer. Sorry if wasn’t clear.
