TLDR : Answer Summary
The Savannaket Thai Consulate only issues a 3-month Single Entry Non-Immigrant B visa. There is mention of the option to apply for a 1-year Extension of Stay based on employment at a local immigration office, which could be more convenient than traveling to Penang for visa purposes.

And in Penang you only get the Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa. Unless you already have a Work Permit with at least 8 months validity left, your are the Managing Director on the company documents and named in your Work Permit.

You could apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on working at your local Immigration office, saves you a trip for a few days to Penang and you do not have to leave the country every 90 days.
