Sorry, TM30 related. Lots of students from my uni in Bangkok in private accommodation coming and going and doing 90 day reports on their ED visas.. so you can imagine the main topic of conversation on the forum. One student has contacted me directly with this question:
“I'm stressing out a little, I've just moved into a new condo I signed the papers yesterday and I go to immigration tomorrow my landlord has tried to register me online but it's pending it take 3 working days if I show them the proof of it pending do you think that will be enough or do you think if have to file my own Tm30 only problem is that I don't have the copy of blue house book, 😢”
If the landlords attempt to register her within 24 hours of her taking residency is pending and taking into account the fact that it was initiated within the registration timeline - she should be ok right? TIA
TLDR : Answer Summary
A student residing in Bangkok seeks guidance regarding the TM30 registration process after recently moving into a new condo. Despite the landlord's attempt to register the student online being pending for three working days, the student is worried about potential fines and whether they should file their own TM30. Community responses indicate that as she has proof of her landlord's pending registration initiated within 24 hours, she may be in compliance, but there remains a risk of being fined. Additionally, individuals shared experiences regarding delays in landlords obtaining system access and the requirements for self-filing TM30.
