The purpose of your trip to Vietnam is to apply for a DTV right ? So invest your time in doing that, rather than wanting to wander around and risk getting your application rejected
In this format, this bank statement will most likely be rejected. You will need to get Revolut to issue you will a formal bank statement and signed by authorised person. They also need to see 6 months statement, showing cash in cash out over this period
Anonymous participant no, provided you submit all the required additional documents within 14 days from when you first submitted your application. After 14 days your application will be cancelled
I applied in HCMC the same as yourself. 6 months bank statements printed off from my online UK account- All they asked me to do was to highlight on the statements which income was from my freelance work. Other than that, everything was fine.
I suggest you call your bank, and ask them to issue the same 6 months statement, and signed by your bank manager. They should do it for you if you explain why you need it.
Ask your brother to give you a hotel receipt. Google maps screen shot showing the ‘blue location dot’ right on the hotel, and a picture of your husband outside the hotel, with the hotel name showing. All legitimate evidence
Ho Chi Minh Thai embassy will require 6 months bank statements. There is no stipulation in writing as to how long the minimum 500,000 baht or foreign currency equivalent has to be in the account. If most of the money has been paid in as a lump sum, as you say, a few weeks prior, you should include in your covering letter where the money is from, i.e it is not a loan from family or friend for the purpose of getting the visa. It is your money, which you intend to use to support your time in Thailand.
Anonymous participant No, I applied as a freelance worker. I went to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and the whole process to getting my visa took 7 days. The embassy requested more information, and once I supplied that it took 5 days to visa issued
Why not wait until your DTV expires and get the value out of the money you already spent? You can live in Thailand more or less the same, with the added bonus of multiple entry.
Plenty of time to work out what is the best type of visa for your longer term living in Thailand.
