You can apply for marriage visa after you get here but it will take time - there is also a non-o dependant visa you can apply for but converting to marriage visa may be the better option however there is a 15,000 baht fee to convert your visa ontop of the visa itself - if you are 50 i would get the retirement visa - if something happens to the marriage and ends so does your visa
thats why I said income is assessed for tax liability meaning they will determine what is taxable- i fall under the DTA between the US and Thailand - my understanding is i still have to report income and show that it falls under the DTA - like back in the states you still file but report deductions
Ok you said non-o visa you married a thai woman - that isnt a tourist visa i think the IO made a mistake I would go back and ask to speak to a supivisor or leave the country and come back after a few days - they limited the visa exempt extensions a tourist visa. What you claimed isnt a tourist visa its a dependant visa
