Jim Davis wow had no idea. In Canada, where everything is expensive, a will is about 10,000 baht.

You want to apply now, before you've sold your house? And you don't have $25k usd. Sounds like non oa visa. You won't have to move the 800k thb to Thailand after you arrive, but will need police background and health check, health insurance in Thailand etc.

Not so sure western banks are safer than thai in the future. I don't mind having money spread around

Yes. I suppose one could live on half that, and send the other half back home to reuse for subsequent transfers

thx. Running $30k CAD to 50k scenarios thru a Canadian income tax calculator, our rates are 11+% to 15+. $50k USD is 70kCAD works out to 18%, much higher than the o.p. and most retirees here I think. Our Canadian rates are higher than thai in all the above scenarios but saw in another thread only fed portion used??? If I strip out the part the fed forwards to the province, that reduces above rates by a third, on par or slightly less than thai rates.

I had a multi-entry tourist visa and Ranong was one of my border bounces.

I did a Ranong border bounce 2019. Tourist visa. Just brought my passport and wallet. Over and back, all done in an hour or 2. Why do you need proof of covid and residence?? I understand about it being more strict re return flight now.
