I'm so pissed off about some comments here. I've got the visa, I can work here remotely for overseas companies, I can pay taxes here, I can stay here for 5 years (with flights every 6 months). I don't have to pretend I'm a tourist, because I'm not, and it's clearly stated in my visa and my other documents. Period.

Are you a lawyer and want to force people to use your services? Why do you spread misinformation?

For the DTV. What is the rate of income tax in thailand. I'm from Canada and it's approx 25%. Would I be paying dual taxes? Could someone with info that has been through this and can advise please messye me

I have been reading up on tax residency in Thailand. From what I can find you need to be in the country for 180 days to be considered a tax resident.

I have definitely done that for a few previous years, but I was on tourist visas.

Is it possible to register as a tax resident in Thailand if you are on tourist visas?

I did not earn income in Thailand but I would prefer to pay tax in Thailand.
