not if he gets his 12 month non o visa in his home country. He just needs to leave every 90 days and come

Yea as long as you bring your licence and IDP and some other documents you can transfer it without doing the tests. There is a small online test but very simple compared to if you have do it from scratch

Before I got my licence I was able to order my IDP online from here in Thailand and it was mailed to me. This was from Australia

I did a border bounce at Ranong in March this year and I wasn’t asked for proof of savings or address.

Maybe because I have a non o visa they don’t require do you think?

You need an IDP as well as your licence. You should get that before you come here
