Hi

If you arrive on a 60 days exemption visa, but you wait 2 weeks to apply for TM30 (owning a house) will you get a fine ? Will it be a problem when applying for the non-immigrant O visa based on retirement ?

Anyone done a Thai pre-nup or guide on how to reduce risk of keeping a loving blushing bride from turning into a money chugging she devil ex transforming you into a Thai street pauper? Aside from not tying the knot in the first place? Serious question but stupid answers also welcomed for entertainment value :-)

My wife (thai) and I bought a house in Hua Hin earlier this year. In the Chanote, I am given the rigth to use the property as long as I live.

Now I want to get a TR visa for 60 days (e-visa), but what can I attach for documentation for accomodation?

Do I really need an invitation from my wife???

Can someone set me straight. I own a house here with no address or book and a lifelong lease on the land, the officers in my area know me so the house address thing isnt an issue. I left the country for 2 weeks and returned, I went to do my 90 day report and forgot to do a TM30 when I got back so I added that and they seemed very confused, I explained I went out of the country. Aren't I supposed to do it anytime I come back home from traveling? What if I stay at a hotel somewhere else a few nights and return back home, do I need to do one again? So confused with this now. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,a question for you that I can’t find the answers to and hopefully someone on here knows… I should be getting married in Thailand soon and I can get ether a marriage visa or a retirement visa there…but my question is..I have no intention of ever working there or need to,but I do want to build my own house there, would that be classified as me working there if it’s for my own use and I’m obviously not getting paid for it ? Thanks in advance

Narelle Wellington posted in another thread

I am here on a 6 month tourist visa which I obtained in Melbourne Australia. They told me I can get these back to back as I have a) enough cash and b)i'm not at retirement age yet.

On the application it says that a 6 month tourist visa is for ‘property owners’. I own a house in Thailand.

Will immigration continue to let me in on this visa once it’s issued? Melbourne said they would give me them back to back as long as I qualify. Otherwise elite visa for me I guess.
