Hey does anyone know if I can extend my visa for 5 days at immigration in Samui and if so what that would cost?

I have a non o marriage visa multiple entry.

I leave for Australia on 17th April and Iโ€™m meant to leave the country on the 13th April. Trying to see if I can save another border trip.

Lao visa cost me $40 US last time so if close to the same cost it would be worth just doing here and saving a trip.

Any help is much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility and cost of extending their non-O marriage visa for an additional 5 days at immigration in Samui, as they have travel plans on 17th April and need to extend their stay until 13th April. Comments suggest applying for a 60-day family visit extension for 1900 Thai baht, which may be a preferable option compared to a border trip.

You could apply for a 60 day "visiting family" extension

@Lloyd *******
5 days overstay= 2500 cheaper than going to do border bounce

@Duarte *******
extension is 1900, overstay is NEVER the best option

I only need a 5 day extension but thanks for letting me know that option

@Nathan ********
there is no 5 day extension! All extensions cost the same 1900b so take your wife, get the 60 days family visit extension. If you have any plan to return within 60 days, also get a re-entry permit and you're sorted to walk straight back in :-)
