I nam American, married to Thai woman. Vast majority of assets in USA. I am curious in general terms how people in similar situation are ensuring their spouse is taken care of when they pass away. Is there life insurance here in Thailand? Other methods?

I am wanting advice on a prenup, recommendations on a good reliable law firm in Bangkok and some idea of the cost. I am an Australian and I want to protect my assets in Australia not only for my protection but also my wishes to leave my son my assets in Australia.

Anyone done a Thai pre-nup or guide on how to reduce risk of keeping a loving blushing bride from turning into a money chugging she devil ex transforming you into a Thai street pauper? Aside from not tying the knot in the first place? Serious question but stupid answers also welcomed for entertainment value :-)

Aspiring lawyers; Thailand is a signatory of the Hague convention, therefore, would a prenuptial agreement drafted in Australia, be recognised under Thai law following our wedding in Thailand?
