What are some affordable options for learning Thai and obtaining an education visa in Thailand?
Hey guys please a cheap place for learn thai and get ed visa
Answer summary
The discussion focuses on finding affordable Thai language schools that issue education visas (ED visas). Recommendations include schools in Pai, which charged approximately 18,000 THB before COVID, with most schools averaging around 30,000 THB plus an additional 8,000 THB for visa extensions. Participants clarify that working on an ED visa is not permitted and express concerns regarding the ED visa's impact on future visa applications, particularly elite Thai visas. Other suggestions provided include online resources such as Thaipod101 and specific schools like AAA School and Anna's Language School in Trang.

As long as foreigners continue trying to work around Thai Immigration laws the laws will just become more difficult for everyone. Seen it happen time and time again.

I heard getting an Ed visa kinda screws you from getting an elite Thai visa and other things, is this true?

More cheap I heard of was in Pai before covid, around 18k if I remember good.
Most of schools are around 30k, to which you have to add 8k for the extensions.
