Is the Ranong border currently open despite the closure of the Grand Andaman club?

Can anyone confirm that the Ranong border is closed? I heard that the Grand Andaman club is now not open which is where I would get the boat to and was a very simple process. 

Is there another way or can not due to the unrest in Myanmar?

Don’t know about Grand Andaman but the border is open. Passed it yesterday.

The casino is closed and the owner is in jail

But The border is open no problem to go to Kawthaung

just some random posts. I heard that 1500 staff were laid off from the grand andaman hotel. I also want to make sure it’s safe to go with everything that’s going on in Myanmar right now. So as far as you’re aware it’s open and business as usual?
