I used to use safetywing but had 2 issues on 2 separate claims. Safetywing are only your representative and not the insurer and as such they can only appeal a claim refusal on your behalf. The issues are mostly the insurer and their claim handling agents... To this end safetywing is another cog in a commission wheel.

Why do you say Wise doesn't work? There are 1000s of us using Wise to transfer to our bank accounts here...

Basically you need to go to your mobile provider and get them to give you a receipt showing your name and passport number, costs 50thb. Take this to the branch where you hold the Bangkok bank account. They will confirm that the details provided by the mobile provider match what they have for you on record. I did this today, The whole process took about an hour. This is new and intended to curb cross border scamming... It's not targeted at you specifically just Bangkok Bank ...

Although VFS states it takes that long in actuality unless there's some issues people are getting it much sooner. Mine took 4 weeks.

In Phnom Penh it's 3 working days and it's very easy to fill out the form and hand in and pick up yourself. The times for handing in and picking up are different. 9-11am for handing in I think. 40$ for 2 month tourist visa.

I've obtained SETV in Phnom Penh several times in the past with no issues. However they can be pedantic with the required documentation especially bank statements need to be certified ("stamped").
