that’s just to get into the door. Doesn’t matter what you’re there for. At least they have proper seating there now. And the chairs are numbered. You sit in the chair with the same number as your queue slip. I always show up there at around 5am and I’m in the first round that’s let into the immigration area.
The best thing about this immigration office is you get inside then you have a bunch of choices for food and coffee. Pretty much everything opens earlier than the immigration office so you can go relax and then go to your assigned chair.
Bangkok offices weren’t always this strict with the TM30. These days, they want to see that you’ve submitted after every time you’ve left the country and returned. It’s a PITA to be honest. 🍻
Every single time you leave the country and return, you need to resubmit the TM30. This is with the Bangkok offices. It doesn’t matter if your rental contact is for 1, 5 or 10 years. You leave the country, you resubmit the TM30.
Bangkok will ask for the TM30. I’ve been to both offices in Bangkok a lot over the past two + years and they have been asking for it. I was actually charged 800฿ for not filing it.
I wasn’t called into anywhere. I was the first person at the check documents desk when they opened at 8:30am. I made the appointment knowing I was going to be there well ahead of time. All I wanted to do was to find out if I had the wait in that queue when I had an appointment.
