being first in line is what got me in and out so fast. Like I mentioned to you, they didn’t care about my appointment in the slightest. I’ll take your advice about making the appointment at a different time in the future. Thanks again for your input, it’s always appreciated.

yes, I’m aware of the ETA that’s supposedly starting in December. I would assume anyone traveling would do their due diligence, to find out what’s required of them to enter the country.

I see you’re a Canadian. You don’t need a visa. You’ll get stamped in for 60 days on a visa exempt stamp.

you can do it yourself. Either online, which is a bit more of a pain in the ass as you’ll need all the information and permission from the owner/landlord. Or, you can go to your location immigration office and do it there. You’ll need the information from the owner/landlord. Copy of ID card, copy of house book and copy of contract.

I’m on a 30 extension with the 60 day exempt stamp currently. Next will be the 60 day extension based on being married to a Thai. Will eventually go back to a Non-O based on marriage.

I had this same issue last week. I had to try a second time, ask for a new code, it eventually came after a couple of minutes.

yes, I do remember I have to go to Lak Si to do the extension. I forgot which place I had to go for the TM30 when arriving on an exempt stamp.

Thanks Ellie.

I’m still a resident of Canada, on paper.

The visa is still very new and I’m just trying to find a work around so I don’t have to travel all the way back to Canada to apply for it.

I’ve seen all the other replies, sorry I didn’t reply to them each individually.

I’m going to wait a bit to see if any of the consulates close by will offer this visa.

I’m here on a non-o based on a Thai wife. But this visa seems to offer a factory what I want.
