In fact. Instead of going all the way to maisai border and back, can't I just go to Chiang mai immigration and pay 1900 baht for another 30 day visa exempt?

ok great so I don't need to waste my time going to Chiang Mai immigration to switch anything over before leaving Thailand.

I was on a non O visa but now on a 30 day visa exempt as non ended, so I wouldn't have to go to immigration but just take 2 passports to Myanmar and back? After that i'll go to Savannaket when iv got time.
