Yes mine helped me out during covid. Was proof of residency and i was stuck in Singapore and embassy there got three of us farangs in on a repatriation flight because we had these and yellow book. So for me was worth quite a lot more than a pinch of salt.

yes so thats why personally i think its a good visa for initial retirement, gives you time sort out bank account and get an idea if you want to truly stay. Seen so many people give up after a year and decide thailands not for them for whatever reason
